Description We are looking for a Jr. Accountant/ Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Brea, California. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a high volume of accounts payable tasks, using both Excel and accounting software. This role involves supervising two clerks and will provide a unique opportunity to develop your supervisory skills.Responsibilities: Oversee the full cycle of accounts payable, ensuring efficiency and accuracy Utilize Microsoft Excel and other accounting software to manage and process data Manage two clerks, providing guidance and supervision to ensure smooth operations Maintain confidentiality in all accounting and financial matters Report and train at designated offices as required Handle a high volume of accounts payable tasks, showcasing your ability to work in a fast-paced environment Use your supervisory skills to manage two accounting clerks, ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and on time Ensure all financial data is recorded accurately and promptly Resolve any customer inquiries or issues related to accounts payable Monitor customer credit applications and take appropriate action when necessary. Requirements Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) Demonstrable skills in Microsoft Excel Experience in Supervisory Oversight Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field (preferred) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively Detail-oriented and high level of accuracy in work Understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles Familiarity with accounting software and systems Ethical behavior when dealing with sensitive financial information Ability to work independently and as part of a team Adaptability and responsiveness to feedback Willingness to continuously improve and learn new skills Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
