- Define, operate and lead the data center services delivery function globally.
- Manage, report and facilitate departmental budget >$20M/yr.
- Manage internal staff and 3rd party dedicated resources for the operations and infrastructure function including hiring, terminations, growth and maturity aspects.
- Mature and maintain established operational and service levels with reporting.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure and operational roadmaps, technology lifecycles and provide recommendations to senior management.
- Facilitate the design, implementation, management, and communication of customer focused strategic business plans/charters.
- Define, manage, and implement the long term strategic product and service roadmap.
- Partner with functional groups and development team to deliver against product and service goals and business requirements.
- Work with key business customers to define project scope and identify and prioritize requirements.
- Develop and manage contingency recovery plans and exercises to restore all operations timely.
- Focus on continuous process improvement and user satisfaction by increasing value through innovation and emerging technologies.
- Define, build, and support the hiring plan and team structure.
- Report against service levels by measuring how successful the team performs against key performance metrics.
- Extensive experience and technical capabilities in data center technologies and operations specifically in virtualization, storage and compute areas.
- Extensive experience in public cloud operations and technologies specifically in Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Overall experience greater than 10 years in leading a large IT operational function.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Professional and industry certifications that complement data center areas.
- Proven expertise in communicating with upper level management and external customers.
