The Walt Disney Company is a diversified, international entertainment and media organization whose operations include filmed entertainment, broadcast and cable networks, Internet offerings, consumer products, theme parks and resorts, home video products, records, a cruise line, radio and television stations, and publishing activities.The Associate Principal Counsel (“APC”) will provide legal advice and support on all classifications of temporary and permanent employment-based immigration matters across all lines of business. The APC will be supported by three paralegals, who also support other attorneys.Responsibilities :
Evaluating potential employment-based immigration cases
Drafting employment-based immigration cases (NIV and IV) and RFE responses
Advising business units regarding immigration issues
Monitoring and reviewing cases prepared by outside counsel
Basic Qualifications :
Minimum of 5-7 years of specific experience in evaluating and drafting employment-based immigration matters (e.g., H, L, O, P, TN, EB-1, EB-2, EB-3, PERM), including RFE responses; expertise in I-9 compliance and related employment-authorization issues (e.g., F-1 OPT, TPS, DED)
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Must be team oriented and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a solution-oriented approach to legal issues
Self-motivated with outstanding interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate complex issues effectively with all levels of employees and management
Membership in the California Bar or willingness and qualification to be Registered In-House Counsel required.
Required Education :
Law degree from an accredited law school
