SummaryYou will serve as a Supervisory Human Resources Specialist (Employee Relations/Labor Relations) in the Marine Corps Civilian Human Resources Office (HRO) of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON.ResponsibilitiesYou will advise and assist employees, managers and supervisors on grievance procedures and appropriate options for proper resolutions of conflicts or problems.You will research all cases involving third party disputes to prepare case presentations and file briefs and/or appeals as necessary.You will train management negotiating panels and provides leadership in the development of management proposals.You will advise managers on reasons to challenge Federal Employees' Compensation Act (FECA) claims.You will explain processes for bringing grievances or appeals before a third party (e.g., Federal Labor Relations Authority, Merit Systems Protection Board, Federal Service Impasses Panel).RequirementsConditions of EmploymentQualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing Employee/Labor Relations, Federal Employees Compensation Act (FECA), and Work/Life programs; coordinating and balancing work across functional teams; and developing and recommending plans, policies, and procedures for local administration of labor relations programs.
