  • Create ETL pipelines/jobs for getting data from source systems into the data warehouse along with appropriate modeling for report consumption.
  • Develop reporting to solve problems with creative solutions to provide the critical insights necessary for leadership to make informed, data driven decisions
  • Assist with testing, training, and deployment of new and existing Power BI reports.
  • Working with people from all departments in the company who have varying degrees of computer/technology knowledge and to produce work in a timely, budgeted, scheduled and profitable manner for the Company.
  • Assist in the management and resolution of tickets/tasks, ensuring that users are supported, and new feature requests are thoroughly documented.
  • Participate in scrum development meetings in a data governance or data development role.
  • Assist with project estimates and proactively monitor project schedules, timelines, and key metrics, and assure projects are prioritized and meet required deadlines.
Skills desiredHighly skilled at writing SQL queries.Comfortable working with MS SQL Server and Azure Data Services objects such as stored procedures and views.Create, maintain, and monitor scheduled ETL jobs in Talend.Gather, analyze, and identify business and technical requirements for enhancements.Advanced working knowledge of Power BI and DAX.Maintain and troubleshoot issues with existing reporting and database solutions.Contribute to data governance and data quality improvement initiatives.Relational and dimensional modeling. Data parsing, merging, validation, and cleansing.Maintain and troubleshoot issues with existing reporting and database solutions.Perform data quality analysis and develop reports on key data quality metrics while establishing and maintaining best practices.Conduct performance tuning / analysis / optimization of reports and SQL.Must be able to work both independently, in a team environment and under a supervisor's guidance, with superior analytical, interpersonal and project management skills.Experience sourcing data from Dynamics NAV and SAP is a plusDemonstrated ability to thrive in a collaborative environment, working with people from all departments in the company who have varying degrees of computer/technology knowledge and to produce work in a timely, budgeted, scheduled and profitable manner for the Company.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Science or related field preferred with 5+ years of Business Intelligence/ETL/Report development experience. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, employer will accept an additional 2 years of experience.
