Your work will have real-world impact, and you’ll be supported in achieving your career goals.Location/Division Specific InformationThis role will be tied to our Carlsbad, California office with flexibility for remote work arrangements working with our Supply Chain team within Operations supporting the Life Science Laboratory Products Group (LSLPG).How will you make an impact?By providing our supply chain teams with meaningful, practical, and regular insights into their inventory performance, you will be driving better decision making which will lead ultimately to an improved customer experience as well as improved bottom line results. Your ability to handle and interpret large datasets as well as an ability to understand how supply chains are optimized to improve working capital investments will set you up for success in this role.What will you do?Develop, optimize, and maintain analytical packages for our divisional and group partners that target inventory improvements.

Investigate anomalies or events in our inventory performance to resolve root causes and provide guidance on actions to mitigate or improve.

Work with extended data analytics community to incorporate all solutions into the centralized processes so that targeted work can have universal benefit to the organization.

How will you get here?Supply Chain related degree required. ASCM certification with 5+ years applicable experience or hard science degree with 2+ years applicable experience will also be considered. Resumes that display other variations of equivalent proficiency in the field will be considered as well.

Time spent supporting one or more of the classical supply chain functions like, planning, purchasing, logistics, demand planning, or distribution.

As an ideal candidate, you will have demonstrated through your experience that you regularly generate and use data to drive the business forward.

You can show through your work history a continuous improvement mentality that is productively dissatisfied with the status quo and strives to reach for new heights in capabilities and performances, first from self, then from the organization.

Proven experience demonstrated in optimization of inventory from an end to end supply chain perspective.

Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesAdvanced analytical capabilities using advanced excel capabilities (Power Query, VBA, statistical packages), SQL (query building and optimizing), Minitab, Power BI, and other related software (Microsoft 365)

Solid understanding of supply chain principles and tradeoffs. Need to be able to demonstrate how cause and effect would influence metrics within supply chain scenarios.

Good at story telling with data. 90% of data analytics has to do with getting people to act upon the data… can you convince people to do that?
