ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop real-time transaction processing software applications per functional specifications and design documents.
  • Implement solutions for existing customers to meet evolving customer requirements.
  • Perform unit testing, integration testing, system testing, and provide assistance with QA testing of real-time applications in a client server environment.
  • Develop test plans and tools to ensure that the products conform to functional specifications and with good quality.
  • Perform customer site software deployments, assist with customer acceptance testing, customer training, and on-site production support during deployment phases of projects.
  • Perform customer support duties per SSA (software support agreements). This calls for expedient trouble shooting and problem resolution that will allow customers to return to full production levels as quickly as possible.
  • Participate in production of customer deliverable documentation, including user guides, requirements, design, and functional specifications.

REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Linux background is a must - capable of operating, developing, compiling, and debugging software under a Linux environment.
  • Strong programming skills - software development experience with C/C programming language required.
  • Experience with OLTP application design, development and debugging in client-server architectural environments are added advantages.
  • Experience with one or more of inter-process communication, secure TCP/IP and UDP network stacks, OpenSSL, pthreads, and Linux clusters are added advantages.
  • Self-motivated and dedicated. Possess abilities and aptitudes to perform duty listed above with limited supervision.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and debugging skills.
  • Ability to travel internationally to provide on-site customer installations, training, and support.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Capable of working with customers from a variety of cultural backgrounds

EDUCATIONDegree in Computer Science or IT related field.
