We are seeking a WiFi/BT RF Design Engineer in San Diego! The role requires deep understanding of WLAN and Bluetooth system architecture. You should be able to define & document WLAN/BT RF HW component architectures and performance requirements. You will define WLAN/BT front end modules (FEMs), and collaborate with RF HW engineers to specify RF architectures and performance targets. You will also analyze and simulate RF system performance, including cascaded chain analysis, for EVM, IP2, IP3, and NF. You will account for RF coexistence in setting RF component performance targets, and optimize power consumption and RF system performance. As a WiFi team member, you'll be responsible for designing, developing and optimizing WiFi networking subsystem software. You will be working across software stacks (Frameworks and API, UI, OS services, and drivers) to maintain and productize features collaboratively with the hardware and software teams.
Qualifications: • Minimum Bachelor’s in computer science or equal• 5+ years of WLAN and Bluetooth system architecture experience in client applications• Knowledge of IEEE 802.11/WiFi Protocols• Strong competence and experience in Layer 2, Layer 3, and networking QoS• Ability to develop detailed RF component specification and design documentation• Prior experience working with wireless sniffers and protocol analyzers• Experience with hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets. e.g., GDB, shell scripting, packet tracing (tcpdump, wireshark)• Working knowledge of TCP/IP• Linux / Unix kernel networking stack knowledge and understanding of operating system fundamentals• Familiarity with RFIC design and development preferred• Experience in IoT domain/standards preferred Personal characteristics:• Team player • Proactiveness in collaborating and execution.• Flexibility to switch technical context• Willingness to learn new methods / tools / processes• Ability to prioritize and multitask• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills "We Engineer your success" Britech Group, Inc is a Technology Staffing Company who are experts in integrating exceptional people with top companies.
