Looking for a Remote Software Engineering Manager to manage the software development efforts and team. This role/environment is heavily focused on Python/Node/React/Angular. Please send resume to if interested.
You will manage local developers as well as our offshore team in between pushing your own code commits. You will report to and work closely with our CIO. As the Software Engineering Manager you will provide broad functional and technical expertise in the architecture, analysis, design, development and deployment of web and mobile applications. What does it take to succeed here? We're looking for someone who can take on these responsibilities and possess these skills:- Take a leadership role in providing technical directions and process improvements
- Help define SDLC
- Maintain and improve existing applications as well as develop new ones
- Design, program, develop, analyze and implement JS-based applications
- Work with the CIO to layout technical roadmap of applications
- Review and recommend architecture changes to application portfolio
- Provide strategic, forward-looking vision to ensure technology alignment with business vision
- Manage team capacity and allocation against demand for projects and services
- Develop and monitor key reporting metrics and status updates for application life cycle
- Assure subordinates adhere to department policies and best practices
- Implement team motivation, coaching and development programs
- Manage resource efforts and timelines involved in development processes, programs and projects according to business expectations
- Manage changes in requirements and priorities based on unforeseen process and resource challenges, defined projects and business strategy changes
- Acquire resources, manage and mentor team members through strategic deployment, development and performance management
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
- At least 3 years of management experience
- At least 6 years of hands-on development experience
- Demonstrated ability to present application designs to development and project team
- Advanced knowledge of application design principles, patterns and practices
- Angular, Node, React, React Native, Saas, CSS, jQuery and JavaScript experience
- Competent in Agile Techniques.
- Ability to use Git for code management
- Salesforce integration development experience a plus
- React Native development experience a plus
- Direct experience managing direct reports including both technical and non-technical skill sets
- Ability to write and develop web services and web based applications
- Prior experience in people management including recruiting, orienting, training, coaching, monitoring and appraising job contributions required.
