Job Functions Plan and execute small to mid-size testing projects of varying complexity for various departments a. Design and develop test assets (test plans, scenarios and cases) based on requirements. b. Define, create and manage test data and validate environment and data readiness for test execution. c. Manage testing procedures with internal IS resources, business users and contractor testing resources. d. Manage defect tracking tool and process (Jira) to track testing defects, triage new tickets, assign for problem analysis and resolution, facilitate deployment of fixes to testing environments and report metrics to project and IS managers. - Assess and recommend appropriate technologies, solution designs and vendor selections to enhance Companies' testing capabilities. - Contribute to robust, scalable, and high quality test automation solutions for functional, regression and performance testing - Develop and execute test plans and test cases with a strong emphasis on using code to solve technical challenges and shorten the test cycle through automation. - Develop, Maintain and Report on test and defect metrics. - Create, execute and troubleshoot automated test scenarios across our systems. - Identify required improvements in the test and development processes; make contributions to our automation tools that address specific needs. - Communicate and collaborate cross functional and cross departmental to drive testing projects to completion on agreed upon timelines. - Provide time and level of effort estimates when requested.

Experience: -8+ years planning, authoring, and executing software and configuration testing projects on technology platforms. - Knowledge of software development and software testing life cycle with focus on business and technical requirements and testing in a team environment. - Knowledge and experience in identifying, defining and implementing automated test processes and tools e.g. Selenium - Experience with software testing and automated test techniques with a strong focus on quality throughout the entire software development cycle. - Good knowledge of object oriented programming, along with requisite coding and debugging skills. - Understanding of software design principles, patterns, algorithms, data structures and multi- threading concepts. - Proven ability to translate functional requirements and use cases into working test plans and test cases. - Strong customer focus, excellent problem solving and analytical skills. - Knowledge of Test Management principles and tools preferably Zephyr - Experience working in an agile environment preferred. - Experience with Defect Tracking, Defect Metrics and Resolution Management preferably with Jira - Passion for improving code quality through interaction with development team. - Knowledge of project management tools and processes. - Insurance industry knowledge desirable.
