Position Overview:The Medical Assistant assists clinicians and other members of the health care team in clinic offices by performing a variety of back office, patient-related tasks and ensuring smooth patient and work flow within the department. May work at any SEBMF office location. Adheres to SEBMF policies and procedures and supports the mission and vision statement.Qualifications:Job Requirements:
High School Diploma/General Education Diploma (GED)
Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program, or possession of a current certificate, licensure or registration as Medical Assistant
Completion of MA program externship hours
Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
Demonstration of medical assisting skills such as would be obtained in preceptor portion of certified training program working in the back office of a physician's office
AAMA, AMT, NCCT, AMCA, or CCBMA certification required within six (6) months of hire
