Systems Analyst Advisor/Systems Analyst Sr Advisor Responsible for defining and managing the scope of Business Systems projects. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:- Defines functional, usability, reliability, performance and support requirements of a system.
- Creates and performs feature testing and determines environmental needs.
- Provides the link between the technical and business views of the system by ensuring that the technical solutions being developed will satisfy the needs of the business.
- Partners with business, architecture and infrastructure and oversees all service levels to ensure business area satisfaction
- Perform Gap Analysis between current state and future state.
- Develop and define use cases.
- Serves as technical subject matter expert.
- Responsibilities may also include serving as an expert in data analysis, reporting and formulating recommendations and providing guidance to other system analysts.
- Data mapping, including the creation and maintenance of specifications; source to target mapping
- Leads and guides discussion through the evaluation of current state processes.
- Performs analysis to define opportunities to create improved future state workflows/solutions (end-to-end process flow development).
- Creates and performs feature testing and determines environmental needs.
- Be proactive and reactive to constant change. See the big picture and yet work through all the fine details needed.
- Defines detail design components with high level architecture blueprints.
- Coordinates integration activities to ensure successful implementation.
- Ensures effective monitoring of systems.
- Defines development strategy, standards and support tools.
- Proactively works with stakeholders to identify future system opportunities and enhancements.
- Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 6 years experience in a variety of technologies, documenting requirements and/or building test cases; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
- Prior healthcare industry experience
- Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst certifications strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of SQL Server
- Experience with Rational tools, Six Sigma or other process improvement training strongly preferred.
- Medicare/Medicaid applications experience
- Strong analytical, organizational, presentation and problem solving skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills and experience interacting with business teams on a daily basis.
- Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 8 years experience in a variety of technologies, documenting requirements and/or building test cases; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
