DevOps Engineer III at our Dolphin subsidiary headquarters in Chatsworth, CA.

The selected candidate will join our Dolphin IT Operations Team and will play a vital role on one of our cornerstone software products, Dolphin Blue. Dolphin Blue is a SaaS Orthodontic Practice Management and Imaging application that supports single and multi-location practices.

This role will utilize Azure extensively to set up environments and application services to enable the rapid development and delivery of the Dolphin Blue product to our customers.

An ideal candidate is someone who has:
  • experience in CI/CD Engineering
  • experience with Azure pipelines
  • experience with Azure PaaS
  • cloud native experience
  • focused on automation and configuration as code
  • serverless technology experience

  • Deploy, manage, automate and scale cloud and on premise technical computing services to support product development teams
  • Build automation tools to support the software development and infrastructure operations teams
  • Serve as the key contact for the Dolphin Blue application and troubleshoot complex system problems in partnership with the use/client community, internal, and vendor IT staff
  • Work with technical teams to resolve issues, install, and test upgrades and customizations
  • Monitor assigned systems and applications performance to maintain agreed to performance metrics; take proactive steps to improve performance when necessary
  • Escalate issues to Management, Quality Assurance and Development
  • Participate in technical on-call services as needed to ensure timely and high-quality incident resolution
  • Use continuous deployment tools (such as Azure DevOps and/or Git) to provide a seamless deployment process to all environments
  • Define and document changes to the application environments in Azure
  • Assist in documentation of application systems, process flows, and support processes
  • Participate in daily meetings to review processes and identify requirements and/or needs
  • Define needs by documenting processes; includes research, planning and writing supporting documentation
  • Communicate effectively with Management, Quality Assurance and Development to enhance their understanding of the opportunities and limitations of information systems
  • Research engineering practices and recommend solutions to solve problems or alleviate pain points

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Sciences or area of functional responsibility preferred, or equivalent years of industry work experience
  • 5+ years of DevOps or similar work experience
  • Cloud native experience
  • Cloud automation experience
  • Experience with serverless or PaaS

Desired Qualifications :
  • Experience in CI/CD engineering
  • Experience with Azure pipelines
  • Experience with Azure PaaS
  • Experience with Azure DevOps
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment
  • Experience with cloud monitoring solutions (e.g. - ThousandEyes, Application Insights, etc)
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to influence indirectly, up and down the organization
  • Self-starter
