Have you played today? The Chico Area Recreation and Park District (CARD) exists to ensure that we provide quality recreational programs to people of all ages in the greater Chico area, so that you can answer "YES!" you have played today! In addition to recreational programs and our public parks, CARD also operates many community facilities here in Chico. And that's where this position comes in. Park Labor IV's perform a wide variety of manual labor and custodial duties related to the repair and maintenance of open space facilities, buildings, structures, grounds, and swimming pools. This important position guarantees that our facilities are safe and ready to go for next day programming and events such as weddings and birthday parties.

This position will at times require both night and weekend shifts. Starting rate of pay will be $15.00 - $15.50 per hour, depending upon previous experience and specialty skills such as welding or electrical competency. Additionally, this position will be eligible to participate in the CalPERS retirement system and will receive 24 hours per year of paid sick leave hours.

Because CARD helps the community play, celebrate and enjoy life in Northern California, our staff must establish and maintain a pattern of regular, prompt, and dependable attendance.
