Mountain Valley Child and Family Services (MVCFS) provides individualized treatment for troubled youth and teens, ages 10-21 in residential treatment in Nevada City and Sacramento, and TBS services throughout the Bay Area.
Our 900-acre ranch outside Grass Valley, CA provides a therapeutic setting where we facilitate individual and group activities to support the goals of our residential program. The ranch is an ideal environment for youth to learn about themselves and deal with their behavioral and emotional challenges by exploring new interests such as tending gardens, and caring for animals.
MVCFS is currently seeking Security Staff at our Nevada City location. Security Staff are responsible for the safety, supervision, and overall security of the facility.
Responsibilities:
Ensure the grounds and facilities are secure and safe
Inspect grounds surroundings and parking lot to ensure it is secure with no current threat or nuisance
Inspect parking areas to ensure all staff and visitor vehicles are in designated spaces
Conduct walkthroughs of inside and outside facility area on a hourly and as needed basis
Know and follow all MVCFS policies and procedures
Compensation: $13.55 per hour
Bi-lingual stipend available
Full-time, All shifts available
Split shift and weekend staff sleeping quarters may be available

Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum high school diploma / general equivalency diploma
21 years or older
Excellent communication, judgment and problem-solving skills
Ability to take on responsibility
Ability to prioritize, multi-task, develop and maintain effective working relationships with staff
Ability to follow MVCFS policies and procedures
Maintain a professional appearance
Complete a DOJ Criminal Background Check, drug screen, and provide a DMV record
