Independently manages multiple complex engineering projects or processes and leads cross functional teams. Creates and implements common procedures and standards, provides guidance and mentorship to less senior employees and acts as a technical expert.Harnesses will be used throughout aircraft engine nacelles, including, but not limited to, thrust reverser actuation equipment, fan cowls, engine guild up and nacelle inlets.Primary Responsibilities:

Role includes being the primary focal for electrical harness and EWIS compliance

Responsible for design and routing of electrical harnesses across equipment product suite.

Includes pin/connector wire design, lightning/bonding & grounding.

Responsibility to support design changes to legacy hardware, including tubing and bracket model and drawing updates

Role will involve direct interface with internal and external customers, and suppliers. Role will include some equipment engineering and supplier management work as needed.

Independently plans, prioritizes, and manages multiple engineering projects; prioritizes tasks to ensure that the team’s overall resources are used effectively and that project deadlines are met.

Trains, instructs and mentors less senior employees.

Leads cross functional teams that extend across disciplines.

Works cross functionally to lead complex engineering activities that may not be attributed to a defined discipline.

Creates and implements common procedures and standards for work across the organization.

Applies expert knowledge and coordinates with other organizations to address technical issues.

Manages major responsibilities across multiple engineering disciplines on a regular basis.

Performs engineering activities that cannot be attributed to a defined discipline.

May also include professional employees required to perform activities across several disciplines on smaller sites.

Education:

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 7 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience.In the absence of a degree, 11 years of relevant experience is required.

Basic Qualifications:

Master electrical harness and electrical wiring interconnect system (EWIS) designer.

Design skill mastery of CATIA V5 and Electrical Workbench including EHI and EHF.

Ability to design, release, manage, status and prioritize electrical harness design and supporting documents with minimal guidance or supervision.

Ability to design and demonstrate compliance to EWIS standards. This includes generating requirement compliance matrices.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with wiring/harness failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) is strongly preferred
