Uses conventional computer technology and analysis tools standard to the industry. May support and document structural test efforts and formal report writing, formatting and checking. Develops solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope using standard work.

Working in a product development environment under the guidance of experienced Engineers while on a one-year rotation program.

Applies professional knowledge of engineering principles and techniques, standardized mathematical methods, previous design and test information, and handbook data to the resolution of technical problems which do not require specialized knowledge of company or industry practice in order to obtain satisfactory results.

Assists in generating certification reports in compliance with FAR requirements.

Assists in generating reports suitable for transmittal to Airworthiness Authority and customers, and may participate in Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR) and Critical Design Reviews (CDR), and Lean Events.

Assists in the development and preparation of designs and design drawings utilizing conventional design methods of computer aided design techniques.

Assists in conducting laboratory and research investigations, planning, conducting and recording of physical, chemical or functional tests. Assists in the preparation of technical reports to summarize data and present conclusions.

Develops solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope using standard work.

Must have had an internship with Collins Aerospace in 2018.

EDUCATION: Requires a Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or Structural Engineering. Must have completed a degree by July 2019 to qualify.Skills Required:

Ability to understand basic technical issues and develop solutions with scope of responsibilities. Must have strong technical aptitude

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

Ability to communicate through technical writing skills

Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Due to ITAR restrictions, must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder

Prior Collins/UTAS internship experience within the past year

Preferred skills:

CATIA or other CAD modeling experience

Aerospace or engineering experience

Prefer local candidates
