Want to join us on this important journey?Specific Job Responsibilities include: Write and develop technical procurement specifications based on customer and internally derived requirements to procure complex supplier designed equipmentProvide support related to supplier selection and technical assessment Lead preliminary and critical design reviews to our external customers (Aircraft and engine manufactures) and internal program technical leadership Lead supplier project management to ensure suppliers designs are technically robust, hardware deliverables are met and documentation is complete Visit suppliers for process improvements, product design and enhancements, qualification testing and troubleshooting Conduct regular meetings with internal leadership and external customers to update on status and project strategy Work onsite at with suppliers to develop and perform component and system qualification testing such as vibration, thermal, and endurance tests. Responsible for coordinating and driving failure root cause and corrective action activities stemming from aircraft issues in the field. Work with suppliers on development and review of technical qualification and certification documents to support the overall aircraft certification Drive closure of technical issues and risks with the supplier to ensure on time delivery of deliverables and hardwareMinimum basic qualifications include: BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering with 2 to 5+ years of relevant experience or MS in Engineering with 0-2+ years of relevant experiencePreferred qualifications: Familiar with environmental and electrical qualification testing per RTCA/DO-160 and Mil-STD-810 or equivalent Experience with MS Project Pro-active and analytical worker Technical Writing Understanding and experience with LEAN/Continuous Improvement    Nothing matters more to Collins Aerospace than our strong ethical and safety commitments.
