We are seeking someone who has strong design skills, integration, testing, and network engineering experience. The Systems Engineer must be able to develop test plans and requirements, set up test beds, conduct testing, document results and present all findings to change boards. Responsibilities include:

Planning, organizing, conducting, and monitoring systems engineering activities during concept, design, operations, and maintenance activities during the systems engineering life cycle process.

Developing, reviewing, and analyzing technical documentation and engineering artifacts in support of the software systems lifecycle process, while managing risk upon multiple levels to protect assets valued over $6MM+.

Implementing and testing Engineering Change Requests for the Automated Digital Networking System to support SPAWAR and Navy proposed design changes.

Setting-up multiple test bed environments and troubleshooting as necessary, as well as interfacing with Government leadership in addressing concepts and requirements verification and validation.

Configuring Tactical Fastlanes, Riverbed Virtual and Appliance WAN-O's, PacketShapers, and Management switches following design templates.

Managing multiple assignments simultaneously, while working independently and with other systems engineers within SSC Pacific and other Department of Defense organizations, assisting other teams as needed.

Job Requirements:A minimum of 2 years of experience in networking interfaces.Possess mid to senior level network engineering knowledge, skills and abilities and apply it to network architecture design issues for Navy C4I systems in the areas of Wide Area Networking, Quality of Service, Network Management, Cryptographic Equipment, and Information AssuranceKnowledge of COTS products (routers, switches) and IETF standard routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, multicast).Current SECRET level security Clearance.IAT Level 2 including Security + CECisco CCNA preferred or ability to acquire the certRequisition ID: ANDSSE1
