- Architect the acoustic approach and equipment selection
- Sensor and data capture system selection
- Analyzing data and develop models for audio systems
- Develop novel systems, firmware, algorithms and signal processing code.
- Experience working with underwater acoustic systems
- Hands-on development of real-world systems that have been deployed.
- Insightful understanding of the relationship between acoustic models and their practical application
- Able to clearly explain limitations of an acoustic model and discrepancies between simulation results and corresponding acoustic prototype measurements
- Familiarity with Linux
- Experience with hydrophone arrays
- Hands-on software development experience (e.g. - a software-based internship)
- Proven record of successful collaboration with offshore manufacturers and suppliers is a plus
- Independent project that demonstrates software proficiencies
- Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience, in a STEM field
