Once you submit your application, you will not be able to attach additional documents.Job Description:This role Installs, maintains and services low voltage electrical systems at 120 volts and below by repairing, maintaining, testing and installing fire alarms, intrusion alarms, card access systems, HVAC controls and other electronic systems.Essential Functions - Low Voltage Electrical SystemsTroubleshooting electrical problems by various industry standard procedures and test instruments associated with procedures such as Ohm meters, meggers, O scopes, db meters, computers, programmers, etc.

Repairing and troubleshooting associated circuits and electronic components as applicable.

Testing all low voltage circuits and components associated with equipment 120 VAC and below.

Installing various systems encountered in the work place, all according to latest edition of NEC, NFPA and other industry standards.

Reading, following, and applying logically information from schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, instruction manuals, operator guides, etc.

Bending conduits, installing metal raceway systems and non-metallic raceway systems.

Interfacing new technology into existing systems.

Operate as lead project electrician for assigned responsibilities with ability to interface with other crafts, customers, and/or contractors and management.

Maintaining as-built drawings, shop orders, submittals and all associated paper work to accomplish assigned task in a professional and efficient manner.

Train other personnel in the skills of the trade.

Perform other duties as assigned.Required EducationPossess Fire/Life Safety Certification from the State of California Department of Industrial Relations.Required ExperienceFive years’ experience demonstrating the ability to apply the techniques of the tradeRequired Knowledge and Critical SkillsCompetencies required are communication skills, including general ability to speak, read, comprehend and write the English language.

Possess ability to climb ladders, crawl in attics and under buildings, lift and carry heavy equipment, bend, stoop, work from heights, and work in uncomfortable positions.

Be physically capable of working under all weather conditions.

Be available for overtime work and to be on call.

Be capable of wearing protective clothing and equipment as required by the tasks being performed.

Be able to work in a safe manner and comply with all applicable OSHA and CALOSHA rules.

Use Microsoft Office applications.

Neat and professional appearance and be capable of performing all tasks and presenting one’s self in a manner that reflects well on CFS and CUC, and of promoting the interests of these organizations throughout The Claremont Colleges.

Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be insurable under The Claremont Colleges insurance. Possess a NICET Level II Certification.Work ScheduleThe regular hours for this full time position are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday–Friday. Holiday, weekend and evening work hours may be required.
