Our technology-driven client in Cupertino is seeking an enthusiastic Data Analytics Engineer to help build and improve next generation data platforms, pipelines, and services.
Responsibilities of the Data Analytics Engineer:- Build and support data pipelines that optimize data retrieval from various sources
- Build data engineering assets to inform actionable business insights
- Help to improve life cycle of services from inception through deployment
- Manage and execute on projects from end-to-end
- Develop and maintain scripts to monitor availability, latency, and overall system health
- Explore and evaluate new technologies and systems for their potential business value
- Experience building and managing ETL pipelines from inception to production rollout
- Skilled in data modeling and developing SQL database solutions: PostgreSQL, MySQL
- In-depth knowledge and experience in one or more: Spark, Cassandra, Hadoop, Kafka Teradata, Airflow
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python to automate tasks and manipulate data
- Knowledge of data visualization tools like Tableau, D3
- Knowledge of graph databases like OrientDB for mapping systems and data dependencies
- Experience with Splunk as an admin/dev or willing to learn
- Knowledge of Chef, Linux, shell scripting, regex
- Ability to translate ambiguous business requirements into technical tasks
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
