Staff Tech is currently seeking a Business Analyst to assist their Public Sector Client in supporting projects in response to COVID-19. The COVID-19 projects include case investigation, contact tracing, Health Officer Order issuance and adherence, health facility inspections, and reporting.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the elicitation and documentation of business and functional requirements with stakeholders for a variety of projects including OTS (off-the-shelf) systems, system enhancements, internal software development, and/or business process improvements.
  • Conduct gap analysis with SMEs and IT staff, including “current state” use cases, workflow and system analysis to help in defining a solution for “future state” workflow and system.
  • Manage the tracking and updating of requirements to ensure compliance with formal change management throughout the project and enhancement life cycle and coordinate requirements final approval and sign-off with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with project team and stakeholders to ensure requirements are fully and appropriately documented, validated, approved, maintained, and communicated throughout the project and enhancement life cycle.
  • Assist with the development of test plans.
  • Develop and execute functional, non-functional, regression, integration, and performance tests to test the reliability, functionality, and/or usability of software.
  • Document all software defects in a defect tracking system or equivalent.
  • Work with software development team to resolve defects and retest new builds.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) by guiding users through the UAT process.
  • Assist with coordinating system training.
  • Attend meeting with PM as needed.
  • Provide knowledge transfer.

Mandatory Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Software Development, Business Administration/Management or related field.
  • Three (3) years of experience within the last five (5) years working as a business analyst conducting business analyst activities, including solicitation and documentation of business and functional requirements for software development projects.
  • Three (3) years of experience within the last five (5) years working as a business analyst, within a private or public organization, of at least 200 employees to determine the best approach to support innovative technology solutions for the organization.
  • Three (3) years of experience within the last five (5) years working on Information Technology project(s) consisting of a project team of over 10 staff and 100+ users, as well as handling day-to-day operational requests from the business.
  • Three (3) years of experience within the last five (5) years providing process review, documentation and improvement recommendations to businesses with 200+ employees.
  • Three (3) years of experience within the last five (5) years using software tools used for data analysis, documentation, and reporting (i.e. SQL, Excel, etc.)
  • Three (3) years of experience within the last five (5) years communicating with business executives and software end-users to simplify and present complex topics for a variety of audiences.
  • Three (3) years of experience within the last five (5) years influencing stakeholders and working closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
  • Three (3) years of experience within the last five (5) years conducting software quality assurance activities for software development projects, including creation of test plans and test cases, and testing the developed software against business and functional requirements.
