The Technical Project Manager (TPM) is responsible for providing technical project planning, management, and oversight for key initiatives and implementation projects, ensuring first that these initiatives and projects are closely aligned with our strategic priorities, and second, that these initiatives and projects are completed on-time, within scope and budget and with an extremely high quality of deliverables. The TPM will ensure the optimum mix of cost, schedule, performance, and system supportability throughout the life cycle (design, development, testing and evaluation, production, and support) of each program and will analyze alternative problem solutions and present a case for the recommended solutions with a detailed analysis of risks and return on investment.The TPM leads and manages our web-based e-commerce B2C and B2B project and program initiatives and production application support. The TPM acts as a project management technical lead and business analysis subject matter expert and is responsible for working with business functional areas to deliver technical solutions in the form of new and enhanced web applications.The TPM manages all phases of service delivery including: analysis and design, configuration and build, testing and training, and deployment of solutions and will be accountable for all aspects of project management including all project resources (including partners/subcontractors), project planning, scheduling, risk management, scope management, internal and external communications, status reporting, and resource management (internal and partners).

  • Will oversee one or more projects on an ongoing and regular basis
  • Individually, or as part of a team, responsible for project planning, risk management, and issue resolution
  • Independently oversees programs or multiple projects, typically large size and complexity
  • Manages the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple or large scale projects
  • Develops project deliverables including project plans, schedules, and status
  • Facilitates meetings including preparing agendas and coordinating schedules and materials, documenting meeting minutes, following-up on action items, gathering, organizing, and distributing project related documentation
  • Participates in the creation and execution of project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
  • Details oriented possessing high organization and planning skills
  • Manages both strategic and day-to-day planning, scheduling, tracking, and reporting for web projects
  • Administers project plans, tickets/tasks, and meetings to ensure task owners are accountable for deliverables
  • Communicates project-related risks/issues and provide status reports
  • Manages multiple web projects simultaneously on monthly sprint schedules
  • Ensures project resources are aligned to meet sprint deadlines and budget
  • Identifies challenges in existing processes and recommend opportunities to improve project delivery
  • Analyzes requirements and collaborates with technical, business, creative and operations teams to design the best solutions and achieve the desired results
  • Effectively documents and delivers business requirements, charters, status reports, meeting minutes, diagrams, executive presentations
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
  • Bachelor’s degree, ideally in business or technology concentration
  • Must have at least 5 years of web project management experience for a retail/e- commerce company
  • PMP, Agile/Scrum, or similar certifications is a plus
  • Expertise in Atlassian Jira/Confluence and Microsoft Project
  • Experience with Oracle Commerce or other enterprise e-commerce platform (Hybris, IBM, Magento, etc.)
  • Ability to coach/mentor team members on PM best practices and tools
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, Project, and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical skills as well as ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • High organization and planning skills
  • Project management experience with a solid understanding of project management methodology
  • Ability to manage projects and tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
