All Interested and qualified candidates can please contact Schuyler Moose at Job duties & responsibilities:- Lead projects & deliver key technical and business insights to sr. leadership.
- Provide technical & PM expertise in system planning, performance, optimization, & capacity for dense in-building & outdoor heterogenous networks: DAS, small cell, DRAN, PS, WiFi, LAA, Multi-beam, 5G (sub 6 GHz & mmW) & macro solutions.
- Support national in-building & outdoor design standards for GSM/UMTS, LTE, LAA & NR technologies. Evaluate & establish min. performance including throughput, RSSI, RSRP, Ec/Io, SiNR, RF dominance, handoff. Achieve optimal ROI & ensure optimal coverage, capacity, & user experience.
- Use empirical data for each venue category (stadiums, arenas, airports, office) to calculate capacity needs based on current & past event RF KPI (RSRQ, RSRP, SiNR, congestion), max occupancy, market penetration, RF bandwidth, carrier aggregation benefits, system load, & min. SiNR/throughput targets.
- Perform site-walks to identify space for headend & IDFs, GPS location, roof penetrations, AC/DC power, NEG, HVAC, backhaul, risers, cable routes, & antenna placements.
- Configure Praxsym & perform CW test at predefined locations. Calibrate iBwave with completed CW.
- Use TEMS Investigation, scanner & multiple UEs to benchmark predefined walk paths. Postprocess data using WindPro. Analyze terabytes of complex & multi-layer geolocation data to optimize design & surrounding macro sites.
- Model structures in iBwave; & determine appropriate iBwave settings for each technology.
- Perform DL & UL budget analysis for a given system.
- Apply understanding of macro design process, KPIs, parameters to optimize macro sites.
- Use Onedata/OSS to analyze traffic & use to sectorize.
- Use Anritsu PIM Master to produce IM3. Analyze, approve, & test to isolate issue.
- Calculate spectral efficiencies & ensure that power sharing in a multi-carrier system is set appropriately.
- Oversee installation of radio sources: ensure equipment placed in designated racks; cables are properly connected & torqued; BBU scripts are correct. Use Anritzu Spectrum Analyzer with LTE capabilities or power meter to set output power.
- Validate radio source connection into DAS using RFDS, iBwave, & construction drawings.
- Assist with antenna system commissioning, troubleshoot noise issues, & adjust DAS parameters to achieve optimal noise floor. Perform call testing to ensure that PRACH & UE parameters meet standards.
- Conduct spot tests, 911 calls on each sector, & troubleshoot alarms or performance degradation.
- Review & approve final RF design documents & ensure system meets national standards
