DescriptionOur client is seeking an experienced administrative professional in Concord, CA.Duties include:Serves as the primary customer service contact for the, which includes greeting visitors, answering the department's phone line, screening calls for the Assistant Manager, and responding to queries from the public via email, phone, and in-person;Serves as primary backup to the Executive Assistant to the Manager and Council during her absence, and during periods of peak work load;Provides advanced-level administrative support to the Assistant Manager, Community Relations Manager, and Parks & Recreation Director, which includes the coordination and maintenance of each of their respective calendars; additionally, will generate purchase orders and process invoices for payment; tracks professional services contracts, manages department records, and performs other general administrative duties;Coordinates the posting and distribution of Council Committee agenda packets as well as assigned commission and special working groups; andPrepares proclamations, certificates of recognition, and legislative advocacy letters.The ideal candidate possesses/is:Exceptional customer service skills;Excellent communication skills –both orally and in writing;The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with regular interruptions;Someone who can effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously;The ability to pay close attention to detail;Strong organizational skills, and dedication to completing projects in a timely manner;Resourceful, and a good problem solver;The ability to learn quickly and to understand broader context; to understand general municipal operations, and political nuances;A team player who has the ability to work effectively in a team environmentIf you are interested in applying for this position, please email your resume to jessica.hayes@officeteam.comRequirements

Competent computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software, as well as databases and customer database systems

Deep understanding of Email Correspondence

Solid understanding of Administrative Tasks

Expertise in Calendar Management

Experience with reviewing documents for spelling and grammar

Foundational knowledge in email

At least 1 year of Administrative Assistant experience preferred

Ability to use the internet for research

Excellent communication and organizational skills
