Our client is an upscale home furnishings company with national headquarters in Corte Madera. They have an immediate contract-to-hire opportunity for a Sr. IT Project Manager with a very strong background in retail and ecommerce.This position is a perfect match for a hands-on expert in project planning and execution, including scope definition and management, task and resource scheduling, cost and price budgeting, quality review and assurance. Note: This will begin as a remote role, however, candidate will be expected to work onsite in Corte Madera once it is safe to do so.KEY PROJECT DETAILS:
- Work with internal and external technical teams, business stakeholders to plan, coordinate and manage multiple eCommerece / analytics projects.
- This role will be responsible for ensuring stakeholder/customer satisfaction through preparation, development, implementation, and delivery of new rh.com web UI and back end services; managing contractual cost and schedule; and supporting the PMO Practice in identifying and mitigating risks to insure quality project completion on time and within budget.
- Coordinate all internal team and vendor contract related work effort required to ensure successful implementation within required time frame.
- Develop and manage well-structured project plans and enforce Statements of Work, as well as manage project risk, issues, scope, timelines and budget.
- Effectively communicate with the stakeholders and internal team members related to project timelines, milestones, and issues; and setting expectations across all stakeholders.
- Schedule and facilitate meetings with stakeholders, internal team, vendors and internal departments, exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.
- 7+ years of project management experience with a very strong background working on ecommerce projects within the retail sector.
- Knowledge of or ability to understand functionality of multiple retail related systems, for ex: order management, warehouse management, transportation management
- Experience with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies
- Expertise across the entire lifecycle: requirements, design, code, test, deploy
- Ability to work with and communicate to a wide variety of audiences, across many segments and levels of the organization, both business and technical, while working independently
- Understanding of micro-services helpful
