Job Description: The client has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Technology Project Manager with knowledge of IT Asset Management life cycle to join our team. This position will help the Asset Management Team to coordinate software license management efforts that require cross team collaboration.

  • Ensure alignment of the business unit's goals and priorities with the vision, mission, and values of the organization.

Position description:As a Technology Project Manager, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:
  • Establish and maintain policies, procedures, processes, and standards of IT Asset Management life cycle.
  • Identify process gaps in Asset Management life cycle and manage process improvement projects to advance Asset Management Program.
  • Reconciliation of hardware and software inventory in various systems.
  • Manage projects concerning license compliance that require enterprise level participation.
  • Manage all stages of the project life cycle including scope definition, project schedule, risk and issue management, project status reporting, implementation planning, and project closure activities using appropriate methodologies.
  • Provide KPI/Metric information and standardize reports.
  • Generate and distribute various reports, including compliance reports on current assets and CIs and their status; also perform trend analysis.
  • Develop and maintain appropriate project artifacts, including project plans/schedules.
  • Create and maintain project meeting minutes to document key decisions and action items.
  • Track and report project progress/status to all stakeholders.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain project documentation and reports.
  • Manage and coordinate vendor relationships/activities.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
  • Expertise with process improvement projects is a plus.
  • The ability to concurrently manage multiple, complex projects and prioritize workloads while working independently within a cross-functional team.
  • Expertise developing actionable plans to achieve strategic goals.
  • Expertise preparing and delivering logical, concise, persuasive presentations that inspire others to act and make decisions.
  • Expertise in the development of appropriate metrics to assess project performance.

Experience:
  • Full project/program lifecycle experience required.
  • Demonstrated experience managing program stakeholders and senior level executives.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships.

Preferred Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree (IT related degree, e.g., Computer Sciences, Information Technology)

Preferred Certifications:
  • ITAM Certification (e.g., Certified Software Asset Manager)
