Remote Senior Network Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer with experience administering and maintaining a global network environment. The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for all physical cabling, routers, switches, firewalls, VPN concentrators, load balancers, and data communications equipment. This position will be involved in the design, implementation and support of multiple datacenters, local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) across the organization. Additionally, the Senior Network Engineer will oversee the installation, configuration, maintenance, monitoring, administration support and administration of routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers and other networking hardware and components.

This is a Contract to hire position, W2, with benefits! Can be 100% Remote! (NO C2C OR SPONSORSHIP)

Key technical traits: Application and Infrastructure support - Cisco suite of products Firewalls, Routers, Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI), Nexus Switches Cisco Multi Director Switch (MDS), Wireless Access Points and Meraki Access Points, Citrix Application Delivery Controller and Load Balancers Log and event monitoring - SolarWinds Monitoring and management along with Splunk Enterprise Secured Environment Access and Control - Cisco Identity Services Engine and Okta Identity Management, RADIUS, TACACS, VPN Real time monitoring and auditing Cryptographic management and solutions - IPSEC and SSL Certificate Management

Technologies and Experience:

Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent) is required At least eight (8) years of advanced network services and support for all levels of network operations including design, develop, test, deliver and maintain redundant network solutions and experience with: Demonstrates thorough understanding of networking concepts and systems including Routing (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF) and Switching, WAN/LAN, VOIP, MPLS, QOS, WLANs, Multi-Site, VPN, ACI Switching, Application-Level problem solving Lead RASP initiatives (reliability, availability, scalability and performance) Author and update device, network and/or systems documentation Assist with annual PCI and SSAE18 compliance audits by providing reports and working with auditors as needed Plan, research, and provide technical design for business partner connectivity solutions Lead the establishment of business partner connectivity processes and procedures as well as conduct staff training on these procedures and processes Evaluate and recommend new and emerging networking products and technologies by identifying and coordinating implementation of network solutions to support disaster recovery, high availability and enhanced security Strong understanding of web-based applications and ability to troubleshoot load balanced, multi-tier application and container environment Experience with cloud deployments (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and general IaaS, SaaS, PaaS deployments) with a focus on network connectivity (regions and zones) in addition to security Knowledgeable in Postman, Ansible, Python or other scripting languages for system automation and management Evaluate system designs, provides recommendations to improve performance, security, and functionality Work with departments and client sponsors to implement best networking practices that meet company standards for network access, stability and security
