Title: Senior Film Accounting/Finance Manager

Location: Culver City, CA

Duration: 6 months

Key Qualifications
  • 6- 10 years Studio/Network television finance experience at a senior manager/director level
  • Experience with production tax incentives and related filing process
  • Working knowledge and experience with union/guild agreements and production payroll
  • Proficiency in production accounting software (Smart Accounting, PSL), Movie Magic Budgeting, and Excel
  • Ability to establish partnerships with producers and production team
  • Proactive thinker who is able to prioritize and manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational, collaboration, problem-solving and communication skills

Education & Experience
  • CPA/MBA preferred

Description
  • Co-ordinate across multiple departments to build greenlight models for potential television series pick-ups
  • Maintain detailed tracking of all television programming commitments and supporting documentation; across title pick-ups and breakage issued
  • Reconcile updated scheduling calendars to inventory of content across fiscal years
  • Forecast video programming costs and maintain explanations of drivers of change
  • Build ad-hoc analyses to calculate impacts of various scheduling and production scenarios
  • Assist in preparation of journal entries and video content disclosures
  • Oversee timely cost reporting and analyze actuals vs budgets cost reports to ensure accuracy and quickly resolve any issues.
  • Collaborate with Creative, Business Affairs, and Legal in the creation and vetting of production budgets and strategically resolve issues to ensure an efficient process.
  • Review production cash flow projections and funding requests for accuracy and compliance with contracts.
  • Oversee and coordinate financial production audits as necessary.
