Our goal is to provide the best care possible to our patients and treat each patient with love, compassion and dignity.: Lena Beker, Founder:POSITION SUMMARYWe are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced, energetic leader who would be in charge of establishing, maintaining, coordinating, developing and promoting hospice and palliative care services to the public and industry in order to establish contractual and working relationship in the communities we serve.:The Director of Business Development hires, trains, educates, supervises, manages and leads community education liaisons and other members of the team in activities and functions related to promoting the services and expertise of hospice/palliative care/end-of-life care to the patient and family members in need of services and to the medical community.:Must be comfortable and able to use computers and various technology applications, including EMR. Must be responsible, diligent, persistent and professional and must fully understand the able to explain hospice and palliative care services. Must be proficient and able to teach marketing and promotional methods.:QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree or higher in health care or equivalent, marketing or public relations preferred.:At least five years of marketing management or health care management experience.:Knowledge of hospice requirements including Medicare, Medi-Cal, and private insurance guidelines.:Knowledge and ability to educate others about proper and advanced industry marketing concepts, strategies, discipline and skills.:Ability to establish and maintain relationships with community and referral resources.:Knowledge of legal and ethical rules related to appropriate and compliant business development.:Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with people, ranging from individuals to large groups/audiences.:Valid driver’s license, and auto insurance, reliable/well maintained transportation.:
