- Embodies a culture of learning from and coaching to others; willing to provide training when necessary
- Work with Engineering team to keep up to date documentation of the studio infrastructure, propose changes and upgrades to meet the evolving needs of the environment
- Quick troubleshooting and ability to deliver effective repairs, preventing excessive production downtime
- Maintain and repair studio broadcast equipment and infrastructure including switchers, cameras, routers, live audio consoles, wireless microphones, lighting, lighting consoles, comms systems, fiber-backs, displays, single and multi-mode fiber, ethernet and SMPTE311 connections
- Communicates and escalates issues to Engineering Leadership and Sr. Production Staff
- Ability to construct and install various video, audio, ethernet, fiber and control cabling as needed
- Coordinate with 3rd party vendors for studio upgrades and equipment repair
- Handle additional out-of-band requests to ensure the smooth operation of the studio and its production
- Manage and operate within schedules of preventative maintenance
- Other duties as assigned by leadership
- Must be willing to work flexible hours based on the production and maintenance schedules.
- This may include weekends, late nights and holidays
- You will be joining a tightly integrated team that helps produce a high volume of contact and uperates under tight deadlinesdle multiple tasks simultaneously
- System Administration responsibilities include software updates and patches, OS upgrades, security patches and remediations as determined by internal IS&T and InfoSec teams.
- Computer installation, replacement, troubleshooting and end-user support of production and post-production systems will be regularly required.
- Minimum of 4 years in working as a broadcast technician or engineer in television, news, sports in a control room or on a truck
- Knowledge and experience in both IP technology and principles and broadcast technologies design, deployment and support
- Experience with MacOS and Windows workstations and their software applications
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Solutions-based and effective communicator
- Post-production engineering experience is a plus, but not require
