Electronics Lab Technician

Electronics Lab Technician You will be a part of the display engineering team and will help in building prototypes, PCBA assembly, rework and troubleshooting. You will also be responsible for maintaining the electronic lab with required equipment and supplies. We are looking for an experienced EE technician with excellent debugging skill and hands-on with oscilloscopes/meters.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in bring-up of prototypes.
  • Assist engineers in troubleshooting failures to root cause.
  • Able to understand schematics and manage sourcing of quick turn prototype boards.
  • Able to navigate PCB layout files and create detailed rework instructions if necessary.
  • Analyze data in excel/numbers, present data in clear manner.
  • Plan and maintain lab facilities for optimal efficiency.
  • Champion safety, security and quality.
  • Organize and maintain stock of critical components for rapid prototyping.
  • Manage multiple demanding deadlines. Be able to work across multiple teams to get things done.
  • Perform complicated solder, de-solder, miscellaneous rework of circuit boards or products.

Key Qualifications
  • 5+ years of related experience in small engineering labs.
  • Excellent debugging, optimization and problem solving skills.
  • HW testing and validation with oscilloscope and power measurement equipment is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of analog/digital circuits.
  • Ability to work with schematics, and PCB layouts is a plus.
  • Comfortable with working on OSX based computers.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages like Python/Perl is a plus.
  • Passion, diligence, integrity, and exceptional aptitude.
  • Team player with excellent conversational and written communication, and negotiation skills.
Associates degree in Electrical Engineering or related field or relevant experience in lieu of.
