The Thermal Design team is seeking a Thermal Engineering Technician to focus on technology validation, characterization, and prototyping activities as related to the development of Client products.Join a team of talented technicians and engineers in a fast-paced and demanding development environment.Key QualificationsTypically requires at least 2+ years of test experience.Experience with test execution either manually or using test automation on Mac/Windows OSExperience using basic laboratory equipment (e.g., data acquisition, digital multimeter, AC/DC power sources)Experience using scripting languages for automation purposesExperience with basic tools. (e.g., screw drivers, Dremel tool, hand drills, files, soldering iron, heat gun) Highly motivated, capable of working independently and as part of a teamComfortable working with multi-functional teams and supporting engineering teams while driving resultsStrong individual contributor with excellent communication skills (written and verbal)Ability to multitask on various project simultaneouslyAbility to lift up to 50lbsJob DescriptionAs a Thermal Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for:Conducts engineering tests and detailed experimental testing to collect design data or assist in research work.Troubleshooting equipment and device issues, maintaining and solving test equipment problems as needed.Following and updating procedures and protocols to ensure reliability and quality of test resultsOversee/drive data collection and analysisWorks closely with development engineers to create design prototypes and models.EducationAssociates Degree in ME/EE is a minimum, Bachelor's degree in ME/EE is a plus, or equivalent work experience.Additional Requirements Strong knowledge of macOS and iOS - Advantage Experience with UNIX and/or Linux - AdvantageExperience with Infrared Imagery - Advantage Familiarity with heat transfer and fluid mechanics - Advantage Experience with airflow testing - Advantage Ability to debug basic electrical circuits - AdvantageExperience with CAD, 3D Printing or machining - AdvantageVacancy expired!
