DescriptionAccountemps is urgently seeking an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk. As the Accounting Clerk, you will have the opportunity to become an indispensable part of an International Construction Company. Located in San Jose, California, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a temp-to-hire position. Career growth and quick advancement is available in this progressive department. The Accounts Payable Clerk tasks will consist of matching, batching, and coding, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, and processing checks.What you get to do every single day
Data entry and processing of Accounts Payable invoices
Complete special projects on an as-needed basis
Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
Assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative tasks
Facilitate internal and external audits as needed
Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it
Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners
The ideal Accounts Payable Clerk will be attention detailed, ability to work in a fast paced environment, and eager to learn as this is a great opportunity for someone starting out in Accounting. AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Prior experience in an A/P role preferred, however, open to entry level as there is a chance to learn
Attention to detail
-Quick learner to pick up MS Excel, and their accounting software, Great Plains
Articulate customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
