You will drive the development of our instrumentation in parallel to that of the product.You will apply your excellent communication skills and passion to lead multi-functional teams to develop ground-breaking products. Your contributions will make a pronounced difference to future embedded products that teams will take great pride in. The team responsible for developing technologies, calibration methodologies and the respective instrumentation for the calibration and validation.This team designs solutions that will be used during New Product Introduction.

Responsibilities:
  • You will be in charge of workflow, helping engineers define what needs to be done and when, tracking the schedule, monetary risks, risk issues in general, organize meetings, help minimize risk, and ordering.
  • Establish and manage program feature baseline, scheduling, critical path, and technology risks areas for execution
  • Grasp complex technical matters or abstract issues and present them in an actionable form
  • Identify and highlight risk areas and mitigation strategies making sure the right people are involved. Resolve roadblocks for the team
  • Cross-functionally communicate at a senior level key developments and updates on new instrument/fixtures
  • Help lead cross-functional teams in engineering and validation activities

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of industry experience taking products (preferably portable consumer electronics devices) all the way from concept design and architecture definition, through execution, including engineering development and validation to ramping and shipping.
  • Excellent understanding with embedded systems and consumer devices
  • Ability to work with Firmware Engineers at board level (C programming)
  • Great knowledge with various microprocessors
  • A strong engineering background is required for this role. This is really heavy engineering work.
  • Must have a good understanding consumer products. Understand PCBs. Most of work is in hardware generation.
  • Must understands and have experience with Design of product and components.
  • Leadership skills and ability to inspire team members
  • Understands and deals well with rapid development cycles; remains flexible and calm in the face of uncertainty
  • Person needs to be tech savvy for discussions. They need to help create workflows for the department.
  • Engineering background, know hardware, know components, know areas of devices - mostly hardware background is key.
  • Well-versed in setting up project schedules and work breakdown structures
Education & ExperienceBS EE/ME/CE degree or related experience required, MS desired Location: Work From Home (work in Cupertino when offices reopen)Duration: 6-12 months
