Trench Plate Rental Company has an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant at our Downey, CA Branch.Summary: You will provide accounting support to the accounting department. You will prepare general ledger entries and journal entries. You will be maintaining financial reports, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and manage all fixed asset acquisitions, dispositions and reconciliations. Convert data to general ledger system
Obtain supplementary information for preparing financial statements
Bank and account reconciliation
Prepare consolidated internal financial statements
Analyze and verify information by creating reports
Maintain and balance an automated consolidation system
Perform other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
Advanced proficiency in MS Office, pivot tables and V-look ups
Strict attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple projects
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Must have excellent verbal and communication skills
Able to read and understand technical forms and financial reports
Strong analysis and problem solving skills and the ability to work in fast paced environment
Physical demands: While performing the duties of a staff accountant, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; to perform reparative data entry task using a computer key board, reach with hands and arms, talk, hear, walk, stand, sit frequently, lift and/or move 25 pounds. Visual abilities include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Required experience and Education:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
3-5 years’ staff accountant experience
Fixed asset experience a plus
Sage Fixes Asset software a plus
Mid-size company experience
