Job Description:Seeking an Electronic Design Engineer for a contract to hire position in Dublin, CA. This position is hybrid (3 days onsite). Vaccination is required. Unable to sponsor or work C2C.DUTIES:
- Work cross-functionally with development groups as well as within the Electronics Engineering team.
- Work with technical personnel (such as other engineers, engineering technicians, designers, and drafters) in the preparation of detailed designs, testing of designs and fabrication of prototypes in order to meet product and schedule requirements.
- Help coordinate engineering projects. Direct project activities, prepare schedules, coordinate projects with Marketing, R&D, Purchasing, and Manufacturing.
- Analyze, recommend, and develop design approaches required to meet Marketing, Production, and cost requirements for new or improved products.
- Perform detailed design of complex electronic circuits and systems to meet product specifications.
- Evaluate various designs and manufacturing processes for cost effectiveness and recommended solutions. Develop design philosophies that satisfy interrelated aspects of product design.
- Integration of electronics into other aspects of products including mechanics, electro-optical, software and user interface.
- Drive continuous improvement within the Electronic Engineering group, across the business groups, product lines and product architectures.
- Assist in new product transition from Engineering to Production to resolve design issues found during the pilot run and initial production run of new products
- Initiate supplier contacts and assist purchasing in supplier evaluation and selection for tooling, fabricated parts, purchased parts and secure alternative design opportunities.
- Participate in EE design review of complex systems and circuits.
- Document electronics including generating schematics, assembly drawings, procedures, timing diagrams and operational descriptions.
- Perform electronic experimental tests, evaluations, and simulations.
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (strongly prefer Electrical Engineering or similar degree)
- 1+ years as an Electrical Engineer
- Has experience coming up with designs to fix problems for existing devices
- Involves both analog and digital circuits
