Project SummaryThe Grid Modernization program (Grid Mod) is a large, complex and technology driven multi-year program focused on deploying advanced meters for SCE and updating SCE’s Transmission and Distribution Infrastructure to move us into the future. End to End (E2E) testing workstream under the Grid Mod program has the charter to develop end to end testing capabilities to support rapid improvements to and frequent environment changes due to Agile/DevOps as well as ongoing cyber security challenges. E2E has a budget of over $50M and project life spans four to five years. It will bring in the most advanced testing framework, test environment management, test data management and test automation capabilities to enhance our grid systems. Each of these capabilities will be implemented on different timelines to support the larger Grid Mod program. They will be integrated as an overall DevOps/test automation pipeline as part of the Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment and Continuous Testing vision to support our future advanced grid systems.

DescriptionThe Project Manager shall be responsible for the daily overall management of activities related to the project work plan and shall work closely with SCE to develop the detailed project plan, perform project reviews, and coordinate efforts to accomplish the project tasks. The Project Manager will assist in managing the delivery of the project associated with the Grid Modernization program. This includes managing vendors; managing the program schedule and budget; and identifying and managing risks and issues and providing regular status reporting. • Lead Project planning activities, coordinating with business stakeholders, IT stakeholders, managed service providers and vendors• Manage on-time, on-budget delivery of the program• Project financials: Provide weekly tracking, control and reporting of actuals vs. planned forecasts• Develop and manage the program resource plan• Report out to the Edison Program Management Office (PMO) on the project status, financials, schedule, risks, and issues. The candidate shall have the following skills and shall be available for an interview prior to acceptance:o Excellent written and verbal communication skills for negotiation and presentations, team management, organization, and risk management.o Advanced budgeting and financial skills with managing the workstream portfolioo Project planning skills and expert in Microsoft Office.o Experience with Agile project management is a plus.o Experience working on large scale complex projects comparable to SCE size in terms of budget, scope, and staffing resources.
  • Project experience working in Test automation, Agile/DevOps, and electric utility industry
o Relevant experience, experience working in an industry with regulations and compliance requirements is preferred.o Experience with managing remote teams (indicate size of teams)o Experience related with project quality management and best practices balancing quality management with cost and schedule concerns
  • Experience with document quality management with test plans, requirement specifications, etc.
