Description: The F-35 is the first tactical aircraft system to have sustainment tools designed in concert with the air vehicle to optimize operations. This focus on sustainment, together with economies of scale realized from a global supply chain for more than 3,000 aircraft, will help control the costs associated with maintaining a fleet of 5th Generation fighters. Interim Secret Clearance Required Prior to Start This position will be part of the aircraft maintenance team supporting the JSF program at Edwards Air Force Base, CA. This position will require employee to work in a team environment maintaining F-35 aircraft. Tasks will include items such as aircraft Inspection, servicing, repair, overhaul, modification, fabrication and weapon loading as required.Basic Qualifications:Must have been previously awarded a 5 or 7 Skill level USAF AFSC, Navy NEC, or Marine MOS discipline rating or an equivalent Airframe and Power Plant, FAA instrumentation license.Experienced with one or multiple general aircraft subsystems such as Hydraulics, Fuel, Engine, Electrical, Weapons Loading, Environmental, Structural Repair, Machine Shop, Communication and Egress Systems.Experience with reading and interpreting Engineering Drawings, Blueprints and instructions.Experience with Safety, Tool Control, FOD, Supply, HAZMAT, Training, Quality, and Security programs.Experience with Maintenance documentation systems such as Electronic Maintenance Instructions and Aircraft Forms Documentation.Desired Skills:Excellent communication skillsF-35 Maintenance ExperienceFlight test experience.Composite RepairLow Observable coating applicationAirframe and Power-plant licenseWeapon loading experienceMetal fabrication experience to include precision machining.Enhanced structural repair experienceAble to conduct On-the-Job training as required on multiple aircraft systems.Ejection Seat experienceBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:job.QualificationsLockheed Martin is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
