DescriptionRobert Half - Healthcare Division is looking for a Staff Accountant for a short-term temporary opportunity. As a Staff Accountant, you will prepare monthly and year-end closings, journal entries, fixed asset maintenance, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation. You will have responsibility for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. In addition, you will support the development and implementation of accounting policies. In addition, you will take part in compliance, review schedules for the reporting processes, and interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits. This position is very involved as it will produce Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. Based in the El Dorado Hills, CA region, this company offers an engaging and multifaceted opportunity where effort is rewarded.Your responsibilities:
Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analysis for management reporting.
Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll.
Manage capital lease and monthly payment schedules.
Offer succinct analysis on a wide variety of financial data and communicate it in a clear and concise manner.
Carry out fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation.
Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested.
Be a part of various initiatives spanning multiple departments.
Participate in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation.
Aid in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP.
Conduct month end close, journal entries, without supervision.
Requirements
Accomplished in analytical, quantitative and social skills.
Vow to meet business deadlines.
Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
Knowledgeable of ERP systems.
Fully formed organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases.
Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Entries.
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities.
Recent and relevant accounting experience.
Competent with spreadsheets and databases.
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment.
