Candidates with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical users in an understandable and concise manner while solving complex technical issues will be preferred for the PC Technician opening at Robert Half. The long-term contract / temporary PC Technician will work in the Elk Grove, California, area.Responsibilities- Manage and carry out a variety of technology implementation projects- Transfer data from PC to PC and troubleshoot software/hardware as well as break/fix- Take down, pack, transport and set up/install on site- Help test functionality and support end users- Disassemble, box and ship equipment that is out of date- Interface with ticket submitters regularly and effectively- Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and refurbish PCs, laptops, monitors, server, and other computer hardware- Manage imaging and preparation for new computers- Coordinate with the appropriate vendors to arrange repairs- Install, troubleshoot and repair printers- Record daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions or installation activities- Ensure the integrity of electronic data records, acting in accordance with company quality standards- Manage inventory of equipment, including collaborating on potential purchases Requirements - Ability to multitask and communicate effectively with individuals of all backgrounds- Be detailed, flexible, and organized- A certification in CompTIA A+ is mandatory- Desired skills include an understanding of networking such as switching and routing- Be able to adapt and thrive in constantly changing environments- 1 year of experience supporting PC hardware - Excellent problem-solving skills- Comprehensive knowledge of Chromebook Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
