These systems alert senior military officials for global missile threats. SAIC is seeking Systems Engineers at various experience levels to provide Engineering services of complex space and ground efforts as part of a critical Government program. These engineering professionals will support system engineering and integration activities that define and integrate major space systems and associated ground elements from concept, development, integration, and transition into an operational enterprise. Looking for working knowledge of large space/ground systems test and integration activities to enable the successful demonstration of operational capabilities in a larger enterprise. As a SE&I (Systems Engineering & Integration) Professional, you will provide System Engineering services across all engineering disciplines critical to developing and deploying the operational capabilities into an integrated architecture. Job Responsibilities:- Defining the requirements and verification baseline for complex space and ground systems
- Managing ground C2 and EGS development, integration, and test toward operational acceptance
- Allocating and verifying requirements with traceability
- Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop, review and release specifications and verification plans to field a next-generation system
- Performing specification and Interface Control Document development, change control and requirements database management
- Developing program baseline including coordination between ground and space in support of achieving program objectives, user needs and design milestones
- Contributing to a value-driven Systems Engineering team that drives design evolution in a systematic and thoughtful way
- Defining and verifying innovative solutions to complex mission critical problems
- Supporting and reviewing system level requirements to verification events and generating metrics/reports on requirements verification status
- Integrating activities over the lifecycle of systems in support of common mission areas to include pre-contractual, development and production, as well as operations and sustainment
- Required Experience, Skills and Attributes: Baccalaureate degree in an engineering, mathematics, physics or equivalent technical discipline and four (4) years of systems integration and systems engineering related or equivalent experience or Master's degree in an engineering, mathematics, physics or equivalent

- Experience in working with Model Based Systems Engineering tools and requirements databases
- Extremely motivated individual who is a self-starter and works well in a team environment
- Experience writing and delivering technical documents and briefings

- Strong interpersonal skills to enable working, interfacing and interrelating with diverse personnel and dynamic teams
- Desired Qualifications
- Direct experience with DoD and/or NRO Space and Ground systems
- Direct experience with SBIRS and/or OPIR Next Generation System
- Current Secret clearance with ability to upgrade
- Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience
- Experience in systems integration and systems engineering
- Relevant DoD experience
- Experience leading combined hardware and software integration activities
- Experience using model based system engineering concepts
- Experience with systems integration throughout the lifecycle
- Experience with space-ground systems architectures and lifecycle support
- Experience implementing agile software development techniques
- Strong leadership, interpersonal communications skills
- Experience in leading contractor/industry teams
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing requirements and tasks
- Possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Masters of Science in engineering, science or related technical field
- Experience in large Government systems acquisition
- Thorough understanding of space systems design, integration and test requirements and test execution, including test equipment support.
- Active TS or TS/SCI Clearance
- OPIR Mission experience is highly desirable
