DescriptionAccountemps has an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk that offers an invigorating work environment among a team of motivated professionals. The candidate in this role will work closely with and report to the Accounting Manager. Other responsibilities include attending to the general administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department,. Matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks will be the main focus points in this role. Located in El Segundo, California, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term temporary-to-full-time opening.Key responsibilities
Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them
Provide customer service to internal business partners
Handle the administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department
Ensure compliance with company policies while carrying out daily processes and controls accurately and on time
Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it
Accomplish full-cycle A/P
Verify, log and send checks, including facilitating special handling
Provide support during internal and external audits
Perform special projects as assigned

3+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
Expertise in Kronos
Payroll systems for 100-500 employees experience
Strong familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP)
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience highly desired
Sage Software experience preferred
Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
