DescriptionSAIC is looking for

highly-motivated, talented individuals to become a part of a diverse

engineering and technology team. Our mission is to supply optimal engineering,

science and advanced technology solutions to the Systems Engineering and

Integration (SE&I) support for the USAF Space and Missile Systems Center

(SMC) Range and Network Directorate (SMC/RN) services to modernize and sustain

the Launch and Test Range System (LTRS), the Air Force Satellite Control Network

(AFSCN) and the Space Training Acquisition Office (STAO).The candidate for this position provides

technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems where analysis of

data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Provides imaginative, thorough,

and practicable solutions consistent with organization objectives, possesses complete

understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, and

concepts in the field, has general knowledge of other related disciplines, and

provides direction to employees according to established policies and

management guidance.Cyber Subject Matter Expert (SME):

Architects, plans, configures, deploys,maintains, and upgrades COTS/GOTS and custom toolsets to addressvulnerabilities and/or implement security controls.

Applies a combination of expertengineering knowledge of enterprise IT and security solutions to design,develop and/or implement solutions to ensure they are consistent withenterprise architecture security policies and support full spectrum militarycyberspace operations.

Designs, tests, and implements secureoperating systems, networks, security monitoring, tuning and management of ITsecurity systems and applications, incident response, digital forensics, lossprevention, and eDiscovery actions.

Includes security control design andsolution planning at the system, mission, and enterprise level,security-in-depth/defense-in-depth, and other related IAM/ISSO/ISSE supportfunctions.

Involved in a wide range of securityissues including architectures, firewalls, electronic data traffic, and networkaccess.

Researches and evaluates cybercapabilities and new security tools and products against operationalrequirements and introduces them to the enterprise in alignment with IT securitystrategy, and to support the offensive and defensive capability design andtroubleshoot and problem solve technical and non-technical issues.

At the Leadership level this is seniortechnical staff dedicated to transforming customer environments into a moresecure operating environment in a holistic manner.

Specific tasks in support to RN (not all inclusive):

Providetactical and strategic management of cybersecurity of RN programs, including,but not limited to, the development of RN cybersecurity policy, processes, andplans incorporating high-level directives, as well as the translation of thestrategic cybersecurity posture into specific cybersecurityrequirements. Manage future cybersecurity architecture, host strategyevents, and follow-on IPSs.

EnsureRN SE&I personnel performing cybersecurity work are certified.

Managethe Acquisition Cybersecurity Strategy documents prior to acquisitionmilestones decisions and other events.

ManageRN Authority to Operate (ATO), Interim Authority to Test (IATT), InterimAuthority to Operate (IATO), and Authority to Connect (ATC) processes.

Qualifications

BA/BSdegree in Systems Engineering or closely related field or equivalent workexperience

Minimum3 years of specific experience in cybersecurity

Expertisein Assessment and Authorization (A&A)

Strongwritten and verbal communication skills

Strongproblem solving skills

Understandingof the system certification process

Experiencewith information assurance risk assessments

IndustryCyber Security Certifications including CEH, SANS, SEC+ CE (per AFMAN 33-2853.2.1.3 an IAT Level II)

ActiveSecret Security Clearance

Desired Qualifications

Experiencewith Western/Eastern Range, Launch and Test Program and/or Air Force programs(Specifically the LTRS and AFSCN)

Oneof the following Cybersecurity workforce certifications: CISA, GCIH, GCED,CISSP, or CASP CE (per AFMAN 33-285 3.2.1.3 IAT Level III)

Experienceworking on a Cybersecurity project engineering team.

RiskManagement framework NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, IEC 62443, or NERC-CIP

Understandingof information security principles, DoD STIGs, and A&A processes forsystems

Backgroundin Information Security Test Assessment/Information Security Test &Evaluation

InformationAssurance Technical Framework (IATF)

eMASScertification and accreditation tool experience

CurrentDOD TS or TS/SCI security clearance
