The Ground Programs and Digital Transformation Lead will provide technical leadership and expertise to the Engineering and Integration (E&I) Division as it implements Digital Engineering efforts along with program partners in the Space Domain Awareness (SDA), Combat Power (CP), and Battle Management, Command and Control (BMC3) program portfolios.

Missions cover the entire threat response chain from SDA function through the multidomain effects needed for space superiority. These programs include major system acquisitions for multiple ground and space segments, future architecture definition at the data/software/hardware levels, and research and technology for continuous evolution of space warfighting capabilities.

The job requires the capacity to become proficient in digital engineering technologies and practices, lead pilot projects to apply digital engineering to large programs, and independent navigation of the environment.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead digital engineering development activities across groups in support of our customer's endeavors to digitize and accelerate programs and enable enterprise integration
  • Deliver technical expertise on digital engineering practices and technologies such as cloud-computing, DevOps practices, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), and others
  • Use existing Space Force ground programs to support digital engineering objectives
  • Support development of new cloud-computing-based digital engineering environment to connect Space Force partners at multiple levels of security
  • Boost our customer's efforts to develop digital engineering facilities and collaborative spaces for integration of multiple programs

Telecommuting for this position could be up to 40%.

What You Need to be Successful - Project Engineer

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, or physical sciences
  • 8 or more years of dynamically responsible related experience in systems engineering or program management
  • Proven track record of work in a program office environment with a mix of government, FFRDC, and SETA personnel
  • Travel is required
  • Current TS/SCI with Special Access Programs (SAP) eligibility, which are issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance

What You Need to be Successful - Senior Project Engineer

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, or physical sciences
  • 12 or more years of dynamically responsible related experience in systems engineering or program management
  • Successful history of forming and leading teams
  • Proven experience of working in a program office environment with a mix of government, FFRDC, and SETA personnel
  • Travel is required
  • Current TS/SCI with Special Access Programs (SAP) eligibility, which are issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to acquire a security clearance

How You Can Stand Out

It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:
  • Active TS/SCI or Special Access Programs clearances
  • Advanced degree in technical subject area (engineering, science or math)
  • Experience in digital engineering, cloud computing, or related technologies for large, sophisticated systems
Prior SDA or Space Control missions experience
