For Victorian based employees, the compliance date is 26 November 2021.All other global Boeing locations do not have a vaccination requirement at this time.Boeing Defense, Space and Security is seeking a Mid-Level Guidance, Navigation and Control (GN&C) Engineer to provide support for several programs. Activities include development/ validation of operational procedures and mission systems engineering work for satellite operations. This position is located in El Segundo, CA.Position Responsibilities:Gathers, defines and documents system level requirements to support flight control and mission or trajectory requirements definition.

Resolves requirement conflicts.

Performs and documents analysis and design of Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) systems to validate or assess the system design or models.

Develops solutions and disposition of issues to assure customer satisfaction.

Designs trade studies to meet program requirements.

Works under general direction.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.Work Authorization:This position requires a current Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (U.S. Citizenship required) or requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

Direct experience with Space Systems Engineering groups

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Experience with Software Coding languages (XML, Tcl/TK)

Understanding of System Engineering, focusing on Attitude Control Systems

Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)

Exposure to software qualification/certification in accordance with any of the following (Verification/ Validation / Readiness)

Experience in Flight Operations Mission Engineering

Prior Internship experience in Space programs or a related Space or Defense program

Typical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Relocation:This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
