As the Mission Assurance Team Propulsion Senior Project Leader, you will lead a team of launch vehicle liquid and solid propulsion technical experts to perform independent risk assessments for National Reconnaissance Office / Office of Space Launch (NRO/OSL missions. This is a full-time position based in El Segundo, CA with remote consideration . What You'll Be Doing- Lead the Mission Assurance Team Propulsion Panel to provide technical risk assessments for NRO missions
- Manage resources and tasking to evaluate complex technical launch vehicle issues
- Provide expertise on propulsion, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues
- Actively network with contractors, government agencies, and other Aerospace organizations to support MAT risk assessments
- Brief technical issues to management in support of launch readiness
- BS degree in Engineering or Science
- 12 years of progressively more responsible engineering experience
- 10 years experience in launch vehicle propulsion systems
- Proven ability to organize and lead a team of technical experts
- Experience working with DOD customers, contractors, and/or FFRDC teams
- Willing to travel domestically approx. 25% and to work off-business hours to support customer needs (as required)
- This position requires a Current Secret clearance and the ability to obtain SCI access, w hich is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
- Advanced degree in Engineering or Science
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal skills; ability to interface effectively with senior Aerospace, Air Force, and contractor leadership
- Current and active TS/SCI security clearance and polygraph
