We are looking for an experienced engineer with a strong technical and leadership background to focus on the implementation of key strategic initiatives on our internally developed video platform and work across operations and scrum teams to implement solutions to improve the customer experience. This is an opportunity to work with DIRECTV’s world-class engineers to build solutions that will streamline the operational efficiency of DIRECTV entertainment products. Our customers are our top priority and you’ll be at the forefront of making sure that we deliver on that promise.• Define solutions (requirements, design, development) and strategies for implementation for key strategic initiatives for our video platform• Work across operations and scrum teams to oversee the technical implementation and drive solution closure • Develop and maintain tools and data visualizations to facilitate analysis by team members • Audit monitoring capabilities and address alerting gaps across video platform services• Evaluate new products/technologies and assess the applicability to Entertainment Operations Qualifications - External • BS Degree in Computer Science (CS) or related discipline • 5-7 years of experience in streaming video technologies, cloud design, and/or technical operations• 3-5 yrs experience with software development and/or scripting• Excellent communication and presentation skills• Leadership qualities, including meeting facilitation, time management, organizational skills, and ability to influence others• Experience in DevOps, agile development practices, and OSS and enterprise monitoring tools is a plusVacancy expired!
