Job DescriptionResponsible for translating consumer research data into meaningful stories and serving as a passionate advocate for the shopper’s point of view. Develops, implements, and analyzes results from comprehensive survey and assessment tools. Develops data-driven reports and analyses according to established timelines. Provides ad-hoc assessments and reports as requested.Responsibilities:
Assists with development, execution, and analysis of consumer research projects to address business needs related to shopping patterns, branding, positioning, eating habits, category consumption, advertising, etc.
Translates data into clear, persuasive reports, stories, and presentations for distribution to stakeholders.
Assists with team efforts to serve as consumer advocate ensuring voice of consumer is represented in all business decisions.
Works with outside vendors to execute consumer research.
Assists with development and management of analytic reporting tools to assess loyalty program performance on an ongoing and ad-hoc basis.
Skills:
Experience with qualitative and quantitative consumer research techniques.
Experience with syndicated data and analysis (i.e. IRI or Nielsen scanner and/or panel).
Good knowledge of marketing fundamentals, market research fundamentals, experimental design, and statistics.
Good PC knowledge including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Strong ability to translate business issues into appropriate research designs.
Experience with new product development, advertising development, and shopper research.
Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and listening.
Presents information and responds to questions with guidance, one-on-one, and with internal and external customers.
Able to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical audiences and stakeholders.
Supports team projects within defined area of responsibility.
Impacts the quality of own work and that of the team.
Works as a fully competent Team Member.
Maintains positive working relationships with supported functional stakeholders.
Ability to plan, estimate, organize, and monitor projects.
Ability to keep projects on track financially, creatively, and in accordance with stakeholder deadlines.
Understands company, business unit, and/or project strategy, goals, and objectives.
Able to identify alignment / misalignment of team project goals with larger organizational strategy, goals, and objectives.
Understands the WFM product mix, supply base, and retail operations.
Education & Experience:
BA/BS degree and 2-4 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
